Home Page Pays is a web app created by a company named Smart Media Technologies.
OK so now that we know that what is it supposed to do?
According to the information on the webpage it is supposed to pay people to browse the internet that use the application to surf the internet.
Now is it a web browser?
No it's not.
How it works is anyone can visit a paid members website and sign up for a free membership like you would facebook or any other free membership site.
By doing this you make the Home Page Pays site your home page.
Also there is also an install tab at the top of the page that lets people to add the web application to most browsers much like plug ins or extensions depending on what web browser you use.
No downloading to your hard drive just an addition to aweb browser or changing your home page option.
So how does it pay the free member to browse the web and pay the paid member off of the free members internet usage?
Online Advertising
According to the company updates paid reps in the network who want to advertise their products or services can do so different ways.
Most are no cost and entail branding their home page of Home Page Pays and the web app itself.
Or to to take part in the paid advertising feature that lets representativesto buy advertising packages from the virtual back office for various amounts.
According to the company information these packages are from $100.00 to $10,000.00.
Once a package is bought the paid member then sets up the geo-targeting of the ad if there needs to be a specific area for the ad to display.
There are also fields for how many clicks per day and other things to help paid members manage their ad revenues.
The paid member would need to provide a banner that would be shown on the Smart Media Technologies network in various intervals along with the other advertisers in the network.
Now once that is in place and the ad starts displaying through the network the rep/advertiser is charged .05 to .10 cents per click and .01 cents per impression.
This is similar to Google's pay per click advertising where advertisers are charged whenever people directly clicks on their ad.
On Home Page Pays it would be a banner.
What happens is once the ad campaign is live a small banner shows in the right hand corner of the home page or on the smart media dynamic bar which is what you will have if you get the browser application.
When someone clicks on the banner the advertiser (pay per click) is charged or when the banner displays (pay per impression).
And according to company documents 75% of that ad revenue is shared with the free and paid members of Home Page Pays in various ways making it possible to make money to browse the internet.
